John C. Mickelson of Starkville, professor emeritus of biological sciences at Mississippi State, died March 30, 1997. He was 68.
A Canton, S.D., native, Mickelson received bachelor's and master's degrees at South Dakota State College and a Ph.D. at Iowa State University in 1960. His research and teaching area was microbiology.
