A time to read
Best-selling novelist and Mississippi State alumnus John Grisham (second from right) was on hand recently to dedicate a room named for him in the university's Mitchell Memorial Library. The 1977 graduate's papers are housed there, and the former lawyer who once wrote in his spare time said he hopes the room will "inspire students to read, perhaps to write and, most importantly, to dream." With him are (from left) libraries dean Frances Coleman, former MSU President Emeritus Donald Zacharias and President Malcolm Portera. The Grisham Room is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
