New patrons program director named

Mississippi State alumna Debbie Vaughn is the new director of the patrons program for the Office of Development.

She takes over coordination of the university's oldest fund-raising program. Begun in 1963, the Patrons of Excellence program provides special recognition to individuals pledging $1,000 a year to Mississippi State.

A West Point native, Vaughn received her bachelor's degree in business education from Mississippi State in 1986. She also did graduate work at Belmont University in Nashville.

Prior to joining the Office of Development staff, she was development administrator for Hebron Christian School in Pheba. Before that Vaughn was a national marketing services manager with International Thomson Publishing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.
