A Mississippi State web site is being included among the best higher education sites in North America.

Maintained by the university's Office of Information Technology Services, www.its.msstate.edu won third-place honors at the recent 2000 North American Conference on Web-Based Learning in New Brunswick, Canada.

"The purpose of the competition is to recognize web sites that are easy to use, attractive, and—above all—advance learning," said ITS office head Mike Rackley. "We feel our site does an excellent job of fulfilling those objectives, as well as meeting the criteria for making innovative use of technology."
