The Mississippi State University Foundation's newly created donor-advised fund program has received tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

The program, which allows donors to recommend assignment of their irrevocable gift, including multiple charities, offers one of the most up-to-date gift planning techniques available today.

To participate in the donor-advised fund program, contributors must make an initial gift of $10,000. Additional contributions must be a least $1,000 and the minimum disbursement will be $1,000 per not-for-profit entity.
