Hurricane Katrina Response

Information and Announcements

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, many Mississippi State University students with families in storm-affected areas understandably are experiencing stress and anxiety.

Please know that we will continue to monitor student needs and respond to provide support. Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers are with all who continue to feel the terrible results of Hurricane Katrina.

Announcements

For MSU Students from Affected Areas
Student Financial Aid has emergency funds for students who run out of money. Students who have trouble accessing funds in banks from affected areas should go to any local bank and explain the situation. The banking industry has procedures to deal with such problems.

For MSU Faculty and Staff
The MSU Student Counseling and Testing Center, through collaborations with area clinicians, is extending limited support to faculty and staff with concerns related to this crisis. To request assistance, please contact the Student Counseling and Testing Center at 662-325-2091.
