Acclaimed author, historian Loewen speaks tonight

Professor James Loewen, best known for his landmark book "Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong", will give a public lecture today [April 3], at 7 p.m., in Lee Hall's Bettersworth Auditorium. The lecture is titled "The Most Important Era in U.S. History That You Never Heard Of and Why It's Important Today." Help give Dr. Loewen a warm MSU welcome.

The event is co-sponsored by MSU African American Studies; College of Arts and Sciences; Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education; Department of Sociology; Holmes Cultural Diversity Center; Shackouls Honors College; and the Mississippi Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta.
