TAKE NOTE: Phishing email scam detected on campus

August 22, 2013

The phishing email message below is an example of an attempt to trick you into
following a link which will steal your Netid and NetPassword. This style of
phishing attack has been seen on MSU's campus this week and is being actively
used.

Note that the actual link address is to a web site that is NOT an MSU or Blackboard address. If you have received a phishing email like this, please discard the message and do NOT click on the link it contains.

For more information about phishing or email scams you can contact the ITS Help Desk via phone 662-325-0631 or 888-398-6394.
