Research lab seeking specific blood donors
April 21, 2010
A campus research lab, Medical micro-Device Engineering Research Lab, is seeking blood donors for AB+ and B-.
MDERL researchers explore the use of microdevices with the goal of developing medical diagnostic devices to detect and quantify diseases and disease progression--all within a single drop of blood.
If you would be willing to donate a small vial of blood via Longest Student Health Center trained personnel, e-mail Soumya K. Srivastava at email@example.com to schedule an appointment. You will be asked to provide proof of blood type, but other personal information will not be recorded and all will be kept completely confidential. A small monetary gift of $5 will be given to donors.
For any questions regarding the research, contact Dr. Adrienne Minerick at firstname.lastname@example.org. To learn more about MDERL, visit www.mderl.org.
