Wrapping game day in maroon, white and green?
Mississippi State will be wrapping its homecoming game this Saturday in the university's traditional maroon and white, along with a special splash of green. During the 6:30 p.m. football game, MSU will participate in the Environmental Protection Agency's Game Day Challenge, a national competition encouraging college football fans to cut the amount of waste they produce.

Lunch & Learn with AOCE: Facilitating study abroad
The Division of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education at Mississippi State will host its November Lunch & Learn session Thursday, Nov. 3 in Memorial Hall's Coskrey Auditorium. The topic, "My Student Wants to Study Abroad -- Now What?", will feature a panel discussion about the practical elements of program selection, credit transfer and available scholarships for students interested in studying abroad.

Homecoming book sale Saturday at MSU Libraries
As a part of Mississippi State University's 2011 homecoming activities, MSU Libraries will host a book sale this Saturday. Beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until noon, the book sale will be held on Mitchell Memorial Library's second floor Information Mall and will feature special deals on hardbacks and paperbacks.

The staff at the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station Sales Store, located on Mississippi State University's campus, is encouraging patrons to place orders now for the holidays and to take advantage of products that make great additions to the tailgate. The store's famous cheese and other products sell quickly during the holiday season.

Orders are now being accepted for the biography of Mississippi State's legendary sports broadcaster. "Jack Cristil: The Voice of the Bulldogs" is written by university alumnus and veteran newsman Sid Salter. Best-selling author and fellow alumnus John Grisham is providing the book's foreword.

McIntosh named Arts and Sciences fundraiser
Mississippi State's College of Arts and Sciences is announcing a new development director. Rankin County native Alexander W. "Alex" McIntosh will lead fundraising efforts for the university's largest academic unit.
Staff Council's annual homecoming sale Monday
Mississippi State University's Staff Council will be offering v-neck wind shirts for $20 during its annual homecoming sale on Monday. The solid maroon shirt features the MState logo and the word "Staff" on the front left chest.
Departments invited to compete in tailgating contest
Mississippi State University's Staff Council is again sponsoring a homecoming tailgating contest for all departments on campus. The third-annual edition of the popular event takes place Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. Deadline to register is Thursday.
