Lt. Gov.-elect Tate Reeves speaks Tuesday

Lt. Gov.-elect Tate Reeves will be featured Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Mississippi State's next Morris W.H. "Bill" Collins Speaker Series program.

The public event begins at 2 p.m. in the John Grisham Room of the university's Mitchell Memorial Library.

A Rankin County native and Florence High School graduate, Reeves currently is in his second term as Mississippi's 53rd treasurer, the first Republican to serve in the office over Mississippi's 194-year history.

An honors graduate in economics of Millsaps College and a Chartered Financial Analyst, he represents the state as a member of the executive board of the College Savings Plans Network and the board of trustees of the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi. Additionally, he chairs the boards of directors of College Savings Plans of Mississippi and Mississippi Health Care Trust Fund. (For more, visit
