WHAT WE DO
The News Bureau works in a variety of ways to keep the public, the campus community, and alumni informed of noteworthy accomplishments and activities at Mississippi State. The News Bureau also works with broadcast and print media to provide answers to questions about the university, background for stories, and expert commentary on current events or breaking news.

We maintain a list of areas in which faculty are experts. Please visit the page if you would like to be included.
We also belong to a cooperative of universities that receive daily media inquiries from around the world. Through ProfNet, we've put faculty members in touch with media outlets such as The New York Times, USA Today, The San Francisco Chronicle, and many regional newspapers. If you are in our experts list, we may call you.
Feel strongly about an issue in the news? We will be happy to work with you in developing an opinion piece for a newspaper op-ed page.
