Title: Graphic Artist
Eric Abbott has worked as a Graphic Designer with Public Affairs since 2010. In this position, he has worked primarily in the production of printed publications, assisting the needs of both campus departments and the Alumni Association. As an MSU graphic designer he maintains the integrity and consistency of the university's identity standards. He works with a team of designers within the publication department, as well as the licensing department.
Prior to working in Public Affairs, Eric worked as a web designer for an e-commerce design agency while also co-creating a design collaboration studio, the Cre8tive Warehouse. The Cre8tive Warehouse served a community purpose of offering artists studio spaces, working in collaboration with local businesses to assist in community events, and offering an art gallery to downtown Starkville. In 2008, he formed the trademarked clothing brand Bell Yeah. Bell Yeah started as an online store selling t-shirts and accessories and later spread into stores throughout Mississippi. Eric also worked within the Oktibbeha county school district as an art teacher through the Enrichment Program during this time.
Eric received his bachelors of fine arts degree with an emphasis in graphic design from Mississippi State University. Eric has always had a passion for art -- whether it be fine art, design, music or film. He has assisted in a variety of artistic expressions from writing and illustrating stories, painting murals and creating websites to writing and recording music, musical performance in theater and writing scripts.
Eric and his wife, Haritha, are Starkville residents with numerous family pets. They are both active members of the Church of Christ.
