Title: News Writer
Sasha Steinberg joined the Office of Public Affairs in 2014 as news writer. She enjoys composing news releases and feature stories about her alma mater, Mississippi State University.
While completing her bachelor's in communication/journalism and French minor, Sasha wrote for the Office of Public Affairs on a part-time basis in spring 2014.
A native of Mandeville, Louisiana, she is a graduate of Fontainebleau High School. Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!
In addition to writing news for The Reflector campus newspaper during her freshman, sophomore and junior years, Sasha was a manager for the MSU track and field team during her freshman and sophomore years.
She wrote news and feature stories the summer before her junior year as an editorial intern at the St. Tammany News, a tri-weekly community newspaper located in Covington, Louisiana that was owned by Wick Communications Co.
Prior to her senior year in high school, Sasha wrote feature stories for Inside Northside Magazine, a bi-monthly community magazine, also located in Covington. In August 2013, she was hired as a contributing writer for the publication.
Sasha was a member of MSU's Society of Scholars, the top student academic group. She also was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and campus chapters of Lambda Pi Eta communication, Phi Kappa Phi academic and Pi Delta Phi French national honor societies, as well as the M-Club.
In her spare time, Sasha enjoys exercising, attending Mississippi State athletic events, watching New Orleans Saints games and spending time with family and friends.
