LERI RESEARCH — The Starkville Police Department is providing a patrol vehicle for use by scientists at MSU's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems. SPD is among several area agences working with CAVS on the Law Enforcement Research Initiative, an ongoing tactical data collection project. At the recent presentation, Chief David Lindley (left) and Sgt. Bryan Laffoon were thanked by CAVS' deputy director Zach Rowland (second from left) and research associate Daniel Carruth.
