Cross Country Championship
The Mississippi State men's and women's cross country teams hosted their first Southeastern Conference championship in 13 years, with the men finishing in the top half of the competition. The men's team took sixth place honors, while the women finished ninth overall. Alabama knocked off 17-time defending champion Arkansas to take top honors on the men's side, while the Lady Razorbacks held off Florida to win the women's title. The race took place Monday, Nov. 3, at the MSU Jimmy Taylor Cross Country Course in sunny, mid-70s weather. Next up for the MSU men's and women's teams is the NCAA South Regional Championship in Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 15.
