Presidential Investiture 2009
Mississippi State University President Dr. Mark E. Keenum was formally installed Friday, Oct. 16, as the 19th leader of the state's largest higher education institution. During his remarks, Keenum announced a campaign to raise $100 million over four years in support of scholarships, to help with development and retention of faculty, and to improve the library. Many dignitaries were on hand for the investiture, including Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., for whom Keenum once served as chief of staff.
