Picture Perfect Weekend
While weather forecasts predicted scattered showers over Super Bulldog Weekend, the rain held off for most of the activities, making the three-day event picture perfect. Davis Wade Stadium held a record crowd of more than 30,000 for the Bulldog's spring scrimmage, and the pig roasting contest sent the aroma of barbecue throughout the campus. Baseball fans saw MSU go into extra innings in two of three games against Kentucky, and numerous tailgaters enjoyed the camaraderie in the green grass of the Junction for the first time during this annual spring weekend on the campus. And, university shuttle buses carried Bulldog visitors into downtown Starkville for the Cotton District Arts Festival, where craftsmen exhibited their handiwork and musicians strummed a tune or two.
