Dairy Calf Reseach on Social Housing Benefits
Previous Photo

SOCIAL CALF — Senior animal and dairy science majors Kelsey Hart, left, of Nesbit and Karley Parker of Ellisville measure a Holstein calf at the Mississippi State Dairy. They are participating in assistant professor Stephanie Hill-Ward's study of the benefits, in growth and development, of social housing for dairy cows. Hill-Ward hypothesizes that calves housed in pairs will grow faster than individually housed calves.
