Rep. Blackburn to sign books at Mississippi State

Rep. Marsha Blackburn "Life Equity" Publisher Blackburn Speaks to Commencement Blackburn Named Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumnus of the Year Blackburn Gives Papers to MSU Library

All MSU faculty, staff, and students are invited to a book-signing and reception for U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn in the John Grisham Room at Mitchell Memorial Library on Monday, April 20 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Rep. Blackburn's book, Life Equity, encourages women to recognize their natural abilities untapped potential and prompts them to assume positions of leadership at the local, national, and international levels. A Laurel, Mississippi, native, Congressman Blackburn is a 1973 graduate of Mississippi State. She became a small business owner and volunteer and worked in politics at the grassroots level in her adopted hometown of Brentwood, Tennessee. She was elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 1998 and won a seat in the U. S. House of Representatives in 2002 from Tennessee's 7th District in 2002.
