Spamfoiler
In order to minimize the possibility of your e-mail address being harvested by spammers, we recommend that you use our "spamfoiler" facility. This will result in a form being displayed where the user can fill in his or her return address and a comment or question.
This is not quaraanteed to be 100 percent foolproof, but it is unlikely that an automated harvesting routine would be successful.
The syntax is
<a href="http://msuinfo.ur.msstate.edu/includes/spamfoiler1.php?realname=Customer%20Service&username=customerservice&hostname=msuinfo.ur.">Customer Service</a>
You should change:
- "realname=Customer%20Service" to "realname=" your real name, using "%20" instead of spaces.
- "username=customerservice" to "username=" your username; i.e., the part of your e-mail address which comes before the "@". It may be your netID.
- "hostname=msuinfo.ur." to "hostname=" your host name; i.e., the part of your e-mail address which comes between the "@" and "msstate.edu". If your e-mail address includes a host name, be sure to include a period. If your e-mail address does not include a host name (for instance, abc99@msstate.edu), just use "hostname=".
