University Relations helps communicate Mississippi State University's message of service to the state and beyond. Our award winning staff is responsible for news and media relations; publications, including Mississippi State Alumnus magazine; marketing communication; and electronic communications, including the university's homepage. Our photography group supports these areas and provides service to the campus community. We also implement and oversee the university's communications plan.

Honey extraction for bug camp
HONEY EXTRACTION - Jac Cooper, 10, of Greenwood, extracts honey with research associate Audrey Sheridan, of the biochemistry, molecular biology, entomology and plant pathology department, during Insect and Plant Ecology camp Tuesday. The oldest "bug camp" in the world, the event includes activities such as collecting insects, using scanning electron microscopes, honey tasting and judging, pheromone analysis and water quality monitoring.
