[ More ] SWEET POTATO DROP - To benefit the Mississippi Food Network, some 30,000 pounds of Louisiana sweet potatoes were dropped on campus this weekend. As part of a service project, members of regional 4-H collegiate chapters attending a meeting at MSU spent Saturday bagging the nutritious tubers for Thanksgiving use by food pantries and other outreach operations. Bayou State potatoes substituted for a Mississippi crop lost to extensive fall rain.
