Students admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program can pursue a maximum of 15 hours in business from the following courses (choose 5 of the 6 course offerings below):

  • MGT 3113 Principles of Management
  • BIS 3233 Management Information Systems
  • MKT 3013 Principles of Marketing
  • MKT 3323 International Logistics
  • MGT 3513 Introduction to Human Resource Management
  • MGT 3213 Organizational Communications

All of these courses require Junior standing but have no additional prerequisites.  All of these courses are offered at Starkville, Meridian and Online.

Open to any student with AAS degree

General Business

Campus: Meridian

Students admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program can pursue a maximum of 15 hours in business from the following courses (choose 5 of the 6 course offerings below):

  • HCA 3313 Healthcare Systems (prerequisite BIS 3233)
  • HCA 3813 Healthcare Regulations
  • HCA 4013 Ethical Issues in Healthcare
  • HCA 4243 Managed Care (prerequisite MGT 3113)
  • HCA 4803 Healthcare Policy (prerequisite HCA 3813)
  • MKT 4513 Resort-Convention Marketing (prerequisite MKT 3013)

All of these courses require Junior standing, but some have additional prerequisites.  These courses are offered at Meridian campus only.
