Finalize Your Application and Prepare for Your Transfer

A complete application includes payment of the application fee, which is $40. The non-refundable application fee is payable by check, money order or credit card. There is no fee for readmission applications.

Active Duty Military and Veterans may have their application fee waived.

Mississippi State University will waive the admissions application fee for freshman applicants who submit an approved ACT/SAT or NACAC Request for Waiver of College Application Fee form obtained from and signed by their high school counselor. This waiver is need-based and not related to the scores received on the ACT/SAT test. NACAC also has a fee waiver for eligible transfer students.

Send Us Your Transcripts

You will need to send us your official college transcripts from every institution you’ve previously attended so we can verify your credits to ensure you meet our admission requirements.

Mail College Transcripts to:
Office of Admissions and Scholarships
P.O. Box 6334
Mississippi State, MS 39762-6334

NOTE:  We only accept paper transcripts that come in a sealed envelope (marked "unofficial if opened") from the sending institution.  We cannot accept transcripts if the original envelope has been opened, or if the transcripts are printouts or photocopies of official transcripts. Faxed transcripts will not be accepted.

Send Transcripts Electronically

Guidance Counselors and school officials can email transcripts* to: admit@msstate.edu

*All final transcripts must be official and submitted (via email or mail) by a school official or a transcript service.

Use a Transcript Service

Students are always welcome to send official transcripts via transcripts services. An example of a transcript service is Parchment. Your former institution(s) will inform you what product they use on their website.

Use Slate

Guidance counselors and school officials who have Slate.org accounts can upload official transcripts here https://slate.org/
