Graduate Fellowship Seminar – Preparing Winning Fellowship Applications

September 7, 2017
4:00 pm to 5:30 pm

About this event

Designed for Mississippi State faculty members and graduate students, this seminar will focus on the core elements of a successful graduate fellowship application, with an emphasis on student essays (personal, relevant background and future goals essays and research plan essays) and persuasive reference letters. MSU Associate Vice President and Graduate School Dean Lori Mann Bruce will provide insights into a typical fellowship review/selection process, as well as tips for identifying fellowship opportunities. The prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship deadlines are Oct. 23-27 (depending on field of study), so this is a perfect time to learn how to write a winning fellowship application!
