About this event

The Mississippi Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers will convene at Mississippi State University for its annual meeting, presenting an opportunity for professionals, students, alumni and others interested in the field to network and hear from a slate of prominent conference speakers. An engineering ethics workshop also will be presented by ASCE President Norma Jean Mattei, professor and past chair at the University of New Orleans Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Mattei has been active in ASCE for more than 20 years in local, regional and national leadership roles. Other keynote speakers include Central District Commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Transportation Dick Hall; MSU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ben Howland; MDOT Southern District Commissioner Tom King; MDOT Executive Director Melinda McGrath; MDOT Northern District Commissioner Mike Tagert; and MSU Vice President for Campus Services Amy Tuck.
