About this event

Join Mississippi State University in a community-wide celebration honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast will be served promptly at 8 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. program. This year's keynote speaker is former Rep. Tyrone Ellis, who recently retired after serving the citizens of Mississippi's District 38 for 38 years as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He continues to serve as pastor of Running Water Baptist Church in Noxubee County. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the program, participants will be encouraged to engage in a "Day of Service" around the local community to honor King's legacy. #ServiceatState
