Mississippi State University's Gender Studies program and President's Commission on the Status of Women are sponsoring a four-day Feminist Film Festival. The event is free to all, and films will start at 6 p.m. each night. The festival schedule including film dates and locations is as follows: Nov. 13 in McCool Hall's Room 126: "Persepolis," an animated coming-of-age story about a young girl during the Iranian Revolution; Nov. 14 in McCool Hall's Room 124 (Taylor Auditorium): "Hidden Figures," the inspiring true story of the black women mathematicians who shaped the 1960s Space Race; Nov. 15 in Allen Hall's Room 13: "Jackson," a documentary examining the roles race and religion play in stigmatizing abortion in Mississippi; and Nov. 16 in McCool Hall's Room 124 (Taylor Auditorium): "Ghostbusters," a reboot of the 1984 classic starring an all-female lead cast.
