About this event

It is important that students and scholars learn to differentiate between real and fake news in their day-to-day and academic lives. With various resources and fact-checkers available online, it is easy to be overwhelmed or unsure whether information is true. This workshop aims to equip participants with tools to recognize, avoid and combat misinformation, including fake news, false news, media bias and confirmation bias.
