Changes to Human Subjects Regulations

January 17, 2018
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

About this event

Changes to regulations governing human subjects research, as outlined in 45 CFR 46 (also known as the Common Rule), were published in the Federal Register in January. The majority of rule changes will take effect Jan. 19, 2018. The amended rules are the first significant changes to these regulations since 1991. The Office of Research Compliance at Mississippi State University is hosting two identical sessions to provide a summary of the changes and how they may impact researchers. The workshop will be recorded and posted on the ORC website, so those who are unable to attend the live sessions can stay informed. A proposal to delay the changes is currently under review by the OMB. If there is a delay, the ORC will immediately notify anyone who is registered. Click the "Link" below to register for one of the free sessions.
