About this event

The Safe Zone Advisory Board at Mississippi State University is hosting an interactive training that focuses on what it means to be a Safe Zone Ally. First-time training participants will learn how to increase their self-confidence as an Ally in support of the LGBTQ+ community and will discuss ideas for creating a safe environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. Those who did not attend the first training on March 7 also are welcome to participate. Participants who choose to go through three training sessions organized by the Safe Zone Advisory Board or three programs approved by the board will be certified as a Safe Zone Ally and receive a special sticker to display in their office as a designated Safe Zone.
