Crosby Arboretum Children's Craft Workshop: Nature Journals

June 28, 2018
10:00 am to 11:30 am

About this event

With all of the electronic devices we have these days, it is not always easy to get children outside to enjoy nature. Creating a nature journal is a wonderful way to inspire them to start exploring the great outdoors! In this workshop, Crosby Arboretum staff member Kim Johnson will guide children in creating their very own personalized nature journal. All materials will be provided. The program is limited to 20 children, so early registration is encouraged. Registration must be completed by June 27. As children must be accompanied by an adult, there will be no minimum age requirement. The cost to participate is $3 for children of Arboretum members and $5 for non-members' children. Parents and guardians accompanying children will be admitted free of charge. Call the Crosby Arboretum office to register today!

Additional Information
With increasing value being placed on our natural heritage, the Crosby Arboretum in Picayune is the premier native plant conservatory in the Southeast. The arboretum was established as a living memorial to L.O. Crosby Jr. (1907-78) and has expanded to become a resource for education in the region and world. Today, it provides for the protection of the region's biological diversity and serves as a place for the public's enjoyment of plant species native to the Pearl River Drainage Basin of south-central Mississippi and Louisiana.
