About this event

Join Mississippi State Crosby Arboretum Director Pat Drackett on an early morning field walk to explore what is currently blooming in the Savanna Exhibit and pitcher plant bog! Plants for wildlife and landscape uses will be discussed along the journey. Participants should wear appropriate attire for walking and bring their cameras. Arboretum members can participate for free; non-members, for $5. Those interested should register no later than August 24. Call the Crosby Arboretum office to sign up today!

With increasing value being placed on our natural heritage, the Crosby Arboretum in Picayune is the premier native plant conservatory in the Southeast. The arboretum was established as a living memorial to L.O. Crosby Jr. (1907-78) and has expanded to become a resource for education in the region and world. Today, it provides for the protection of the region's biological diversity and serves as a place for the public's enjoyment of plant species native to the Pearl River Drainage Basin of south-central Mississippi and Louisiana.
