About this event

Today is the deadline to submit an application for Mississippi State University's Excellence in Community Engagement Awards. Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President, MSU Extension, Office of Research and Economic Development, and the Center for Community-Engaged Learning, these prestigious awards recognize outstanding examples of community engagement by faculty, staff and students. Community engagement describes collaboration between MSU and partnering communities for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity. Communities are broadly defined as groups of people affiliated by geographic proximity or special interests at the local, state, regional, national or global levels. The Excellence in CE awards will be granted in four areas: Community-Engaged Service, Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning, Community-Engaged Research, and Scholarship of Engagement. Each award recipient will receive $5,000 to further community engagement within MSU's three-fold mission of learning, research and service. Click the link below for more information and to apply.
