About this event
Open to all graduate students in good standing, Mississippi State's Three Minute Thesis Competition challenges graduate students to present a compelling verbal presentation to a non-specialist audience by conveying the significance of their thesis or dissertation topic in just three minutes using only one accompanying static PowerPoint slide. Students may compete in arts and humanities; life and biomedical sciences and engineering; physical, mathematical, computational sciences and engineering; or social and behavioral sciences. Preliminary rounds take place from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, and the final round takes place from 1-3 p.m. on Nov. 16. Winners will receive cash prizes. The student named Grand Champion will represent MSU in the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools Three Minute Thesis Regional Finals. Click the link below for more information and to register.
