Noxubee Refuge Clean-Up Day

October 17, 2018
8:30 am to 12:30 pm

About this event

Mississippi State's Maroon Volunteer Center is encouraging members of the campus and local communities to volunteer for Clean-Up Day at the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge. Tasks include weed-whacking around the visitor center, cleaning the visitor center (e.g., cleaning windows, removing spider webs from rafters, dusting display sites), picking up litter on main roads leading to the event site, sweeping the outside deck, among other tidy-up chores. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes. Come for just one hour or stay all afternoon - any bit of help makes a difference!
