Submission Deadline: Homecoming Door/Banner/House/Lawn Decorating Competition

To boost the Homecoming spirit on campus, the university's Center for Student Activities is sponsoring a door decorating competition for all departments/colleges, student organizations, fraternity and sorority chapters and residence hall councils. Interested groups can decorate office entrance doors or those leading into the building, but must first have building manager approval for decorations. Student organizations can be assigned a door to decorate. Fraternity and sorority chapters can decorate their on-campus houses or lawns as part of a separate competition. All door decorations/house or lawn displays must be completed by 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. Each student organization will be given the opportunity to create a banner that will hang in Davis Wade Stadium for the duration of Homecoming Week. The Homecoming committee will provide blank banners for the banner competition that can be picked up Oct. 15-19 in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in Suite 300 on the Colvard Student Union's third floor. All banners must be completed and dropped off in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life by 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. To be announced at the Nov. 3 MSU vs. Louisiana Tech football game, the winning group in each category (door decorating, banner, and house or lawn display) will receive a pizza party for its office or organization or $500 credit to Event Services/Union Operations.
