March 19, 2019

About this event

Today [March 19] by 11:59 p.m. is the deadline for Mississippi State undergraduate students to submit an abstract for the university's Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium. The annual event is organized by MSU's Judy and Bobby Shackouls Honors College, Center for Community-Engaged Learning, Graduate School, Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President, Office of Research and Economic Development, and Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion, along with the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Myrlie Evers-Williams Institute for the Elimination of Health Disparities, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. The symposium will be held in Colvard Student Union on April 16 from 1-3:30 p.m. and will showcase faculty-guided student research efforts from diverse departments, colleges and research centers across campus. Participants must give a poster presentation, but those entering the Arts and Humanities category are eligible to give either a poster presentation or talk. In recognition of MSU's Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, the symposium will include a community engagement track. Participants also may be judged in the Public Health Research Competition or Thesis Research Competition. Prizes will be awarded. Click the link below for more information.
