Mississippi State's T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability is sponsoring a Dyslexia and Related Learning Differences Conference on the Starkville campus. In addition to an overview of dyslexia and Mississippi's guidelines for dyslexia, the conference will cover strategies for emotional, math and technology support that can be used both in the classroom and at home. Information presented is appropriate for elementary teachers, high school teachers, college and university instructors, speech-language pathologists, undergraduate students, parents, family members and individuals with dyslexia. 1.0 CEU hours is available for $20 through MSU's Center for Continuing Education. A link will be provided at the close of conference for anyone needing to obtain CEUs. Day-of registration and a continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $175 for professionals; $25 for parents and college/university students; and $150 for vendors (limit of 10). A continental breakfast and snacks will be provided on both days, but lunch is not included in the registration fee. Ryan Walker, assistant professor in MSU's Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education, will give opening remarks and a keynote address at 8:30 a.m. on April 4.
