About this event
Basil Nikolau, division director for the National Science Foundation’s Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences, is visiting Mississippi State to provide an overview of funding opportunities in his division. Nikolau's research interests focus on the biochemistry and molecular biology of biotin and biotin-containing enzymes and the regulation of plant lipid metabolism. Along with providing tips and strategies for submitting successful NSF proposals, Nikolau will be available for 20-minute, one-on-one meetings with MSU faculty/researchers who would like to "pitch" and receive immediate feedback for a proposal idea. One-on-one appointments will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so those interested should contact Lynn Taylor in the Office of Research and Economic Development at 662-325-3168 to reserve a spot.
