Submission Deadline: President's Commission on the Status of Women Student Leadership Award Applications

Today [March 8] by 5 p.m. is the deadline to submit an application for The President's Commission on the Status of Women's Student Leadership Award. Eligible MSU undergraduate students who identify as women and/or female are invited to submit an essay (1,000-word maximum) describing their campus involvement, field of study, community service and related work as it impacts and improves the lives of women. Applicants also should include a résumé of accomplishments, awards, honors, previous experience and career plans for future work and service. Essays and résumés should be submitted in PDF format to Lateshia Butler at lateshia.butler@msstate.edu with "PCSW Student Leadership Award" in the subject line. Two students will be selected to receive a travel award of up to $1,000 to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (www.nccwsl.org) at the University of Maryland, College Park on May 29-June 1 or a leadership conference of the awardee's choosing with approval from the PCSW committee; a cash award of $150; lunch with MSU President Mark E. Keenum; and recognition at the PCSW award ceremony on April 10.
