Research Experiences for Undergraduates Sites vs. Supplements

March 19, 2020

About this event

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) are a type of funding mechanism from the National Science Foundation designed specifically for engaging undergraduate students in the conduct of research.

Sponsored by Mississippi State's Office of Research and Economic Development, this free program will describe unique requirements review criteria and typical activities for proposals to establish a REU program or “site,” as well as opportunities to enhance existing research awards by requesting a “supplement” to support undergraduate students.

Participants will gain insight from some of MSU’s experienced REU recipients about best practices throughout the lifecycle of a REU, from proposal to implementation.
