Mississippi State University Libraries is sponsoring its first Undergraduate Poetry Contest as a way to celebrate National Poetry Month in April. 

Contest Rules:

• Deadline for submissions: March 20 by 11:59 p.m.
• All poems submitted should be original and unpublished.
• No more than 80 lines a poem
• One poem per person
• All entries should be submitted to Corinne Kennedy: ckennedy@library.msstate.edu
  • Label email with subject line “MSU Poetry Contest 2020 Entry”
  • Submit poem in a Microsoft Word document (Google Documents will not be accepted and disqualified from entry).
  • Attached signed release form for publication in MSU's student-made creative arts journal, The Streetcar 

Poems will be judged through a blind process.
