New NSF Opportunity for Mid-Career Advancement

September 8, 2021
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

About this event

The National Science Foundation recently launched the Mid-Career Advancement program exclusively for scientists and engineers at the Associate Professor rank (or equivalent) to advance their research programs and to support faculty at this critical mid-career stage where they are often constrained by service, teaching or other activities that limit the amount of time devoted to research.

The MCA program is the only cross-directorate NSF program specifically aimed at providing protected time and resources to established scientists and engineers at the mid-career stage. The closing date for the next MCA funding cycle is Feb. 7, 2022.

Leslie Rissler, program officer in the Evolutionary Processes Cluster of NSF's Division of Environmental Biology and Directorate of Biological Sciences, will present information and share resources about the MCA program. There will be time for participants to ask questions during this virtual seminar, sponsored by MSU's Office of Research and Economic Development.
