The Orators Series: Margaret Hagerman

The Shackouls Honors College is pleased to continue The Orators, a year-long program which invites speakers that represent various campus disciplines and topics to engage our university and community in research, course work, and public forums. This year's theme is "Family Secrets and Societal Roles: Finding Meaning in Human Connectivity." The featured speaker is Margaret Hagerman, an associate professor of sociology and faculty affiliate in the African American Studies and Gender Studies programs, and graduate coordinator for the Mississippi State Department of Sociology. The title of her lecture is: "Race and Politics in American Families Today."
