MSU readies for eventful Super Bulldog Weekend

 

Super Bulldog Weekend [April 15-17] includes a must-see baseball series between Mississippi State and the Texas A&M Aggies, both nationally ranked Top 10 teams.

STARKVILLE, Miss.—A large crowd is expected at Mississippi State for Super Bulldog Weekend beginning Friday [April 15] as MSU takes on the Texas A&M Aggies in an SEC baseball series featuring nationally ranked Top 10 teams.

The first game is at 6:30 p.m. that evening at Dudy Noble Field, kicking off three days of events. The traditional pig cooking also will take place throughout the day Friday, with a “Sampling of the Grill” sponsored by the Mississippi Pork Producers at 4 p.m. near the Howell Building.

Thursday, April 14
5:30 p.m.: Lot 24 (Howell Building) opens.


Friday, April 15
8 a.m.: Pig Cooking begins, parking lot north of Howell Building.
Noon: Parking Lots Baseball Administration (Hump/Polk Dement), 1 (Palmerio), Mize, RV Lot 38 (Bryan Building), RV Lot 34 (Memorial Hall) and portions of the Sanderson lot open.
4 p.m.: Pig Cooking - Mississippi Pork Producers Sampling of the Grill, parking lot north of Howell Building.
5 p.m.: Men’s Tennis vs. Vanderbilt, A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
5:30 p.m.: Softball vs. LSU, Nusz Park.
5:30 p.m.: C.Q. Sheely Road closes. Parking lots 4 (North Hull Hall), 5 (Newell Grissom), 12 (Garner Hall), 19 (Newell Grissom), Handicap (McCarthy Gym), Lloyd Ricks (South Lot) open.
6:30 p.m.: Baseball vs. Texas A&M, Dudy Noble Field/Polk-DeMent Stadium.
7 p.m.: Soccer Scrimmage, MSU Soccer Field.


Saturday, April 16
6 a.m.: Barr Avenue, George Perry Street (from Bailey Howell to Barr), B.S. Hood close.
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Cotton District Arts Festival.
9 a.m. - Noon: Pig Cooking Judging, parking lot north of Howell Building.
11 a.m.: Pig Cooking - Mississippi Pork Producers Sampling of the Grill, parking lot north of Howell Building.
11 a.m.: Maroon/White Spring Football Game, Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.
2 p.m.: Baseball vs. Texas A&M, Dudy Noble Field/Polk-DeMent Stadium.
7 p.m.: Softball vs. LSU, Nusz Park.
 

Sunday, April 17
1:30 p.m.: Baseball vs. Texas A&M, Dudy Noble Field/Polk-DeMent Stadium.
3:30 p.m.: Softball vs. LSU, Nusz Park.
