Fire safety preparedness training, awareness event scheduled

The Department of Human Resources Management and the Community Emergency Response Team at Mississippi State invite you to participate in fire safety preparedness training to be held Tuesday [Sept. 27] and Friday [Sept. 30] from 2-4 p.m. in Colvard Student Union's Fowlkes Auditorium.

Topics to be covered include simple fire safety prevention methods, first aid for fire victims, and hands-on fire extinguisher training.

Closed-toed shoes are recommended for safely entering and exiting a training trailer.

3. Click on "Register for the workshop" directly below the course description.

4. Enter your MSU NetID and password. Follow the instructions to complete your registration.

Additionally, a fire safety event will take place on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until noon in front of Colvard Student Union. Activities include City of Starkville fire truck demonstrations, Mississippi State Fire Marshal Office fire extinguisher training and smoke trailer, and CERT kitchen fire extinguisher training. No registration is required for this come-and-go event.
