Student tests out a virtual reality simulator in the Colvard Student Union during "It Can Wait" campaign against texting while driving

Eyes on the Road

Chris Paynes, a senior criminology major from Greenwood, tests out the "It Can Wait" virtual reality simulator, set up Friday in Colvard Student Union. The simulator demonstrates the dangers of distracted driving and is part of  AT&T’s “It Can Wait” Virtual Reality Egg Bowl. Through Nov. 11, MSU is competing against the University of Mississippi to get the most fans to take a pledge against distracted driving by texting “ICWMSU” to 50555. The school with the most people taking the pledge will be named winner of the “It Can Wait” Virtual Reality Egg Bowl.
