Boys & Girls Club fund raiser at Armstrong School
Local school and government officials, students and sponsors helped launch a new after-school program Thursday and mark the end of a successful fund-raising campaign by the Boys and Girls Club. On hand for the Armstrong Middle School program were (l-r) Bob Fuller, school principal, Hunter Butler of MSUs Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, seventh-grader Amber Bland, county supervisor Orlando Trainer, and parent Tamara Gibson. Trainer also is president of the local Boys and Girls Club board of directors. The 4-H program based at MSU and a number of MSU student groups have adopted the civic club as a service project.
